Advantages: Fine tracks, dares to be different
Disadvantages: comparisions to rumours, how do you folloe the worlds biggest selling album
How do you follow Rumouors that was the question,do you stick to the tried and trusted formula or dare to be different.
Tusk took the latter approach, under Lindsey Buckinghams guidance the mac moved along musically bringing an edge to the music.
The most expensive album made to date critics were many and yet taken as an album there were many great tracks.
The title track a fine example of the move away from the previous album.
Stevie Nicks Angel and Sisters of the moon are classics in their own right and Christine Mcvie adds her usual quailty songs with Brown Eyes and Over and Over.
But really its Lindsey Buckinghams songs that show the change in direction Walk a Thin Line, Not That Funny and What Makes You Think Your The One show Buckinghams songs developing.
Being one of the first albums recorded using digital mastering,Tusk was a change of direction in more ways than one.
The three songwriters are each developing their own style, which would surface on their solo albums later.
Tusk tends to be an album by three differnt songwriters as opposed to an album by the band, but for all that it is still a classic fleetwood mac album
