Don't Stop - ATB
by benlepensive - written on 27/01/09 (5 readings)
Rating:
Who is ATB : A German music producer who writes his own material and deejays too. Sounds like: Delerium, Airscape, York, Agnelli and Nelson This single: Uses the same successful formula as 9pm Till I Come. A thunderous bassline and that hooky twangy guitar, while a female vocal says don t stop every now and again! The ...

in the glorious summer of 1999, and still now to a certain degree, this was actually considered pretty good. Although capitalising on the big-name draw that was ATB , after his number one chart hit "9pm..", he actually does a pretty good job, and rather than looking like every other "Ibiza"/"Trance" compilation around the time, this may have put some people off with it's lack of commercial appeal, rather than fill it with poorly mixed tunes that we'd only heard a million times before on every other CD. It isn't the best album in the world ever, but if you need something that you can listen to and hear the kind of trance you'd hear on the radio then this could be ...

Worm Infested - Cannibal Corpse
A couple of songs that could be considered good by Cannibal Corpse standards.
Below-par cover songs.
Xenosapien - Cephalic Carnage
Continues to experiment.
Failed experiments and boring non-experiments.
Kill - Cannibal Corpse
Loud.
Yawn.
Elliot Minor - Elliot Minor
all good music
i cant think of any
Downhearted - Charon
More "metal" than HIM.
Sick-bag not included.
Cult Of Luna - Cult Of Luna
Revealing post-metal debut, with a commendable range of styles.
Lacks consistency and confidence.
Blooddrunk - Children of Bodom
Great album, very good keyboards, and very memorable chants.
Not great mastering.
Bloodthirst - Cannibal Corpse
Improved production, consistent.
Does nothing the previous albums didn't.
Anomalies - Cephalic Carnage
Approachable technical metal, with great performances and attitude.
Some songs feel restless.
Lovecraft And Witchhearts - Cradle Of Filth
Some of the band's better songs.
An arbitrary and lifeless collection.
