Arch Enemy have always had a massive fan base in Japan when their singer was Johan Liiva. Then when Arch Enemy changed their vocalist to Angela Gossow, the fan base grew even more. Arch Enemy have always loved going to Japan because of the different traditions and so on. The album was recorded in Tokyo Forum on the 8th of March 2008 in front of thousands of Japanese fans. The album starts off with Blood On Your Hands which is a song that shows what Arch Enemy is all about. The screaming vocals and the shredding guitars. Tyrants of the Rising Sun by Arch Enemy is an awesome set of 2 CD's of live footage and a DVD which contains a film of a concert in early 2008 and a 40 minute road movie. Arch Enemy have been brilliant since the arrival of Angela Gossow in 2001, the pretty lead singer has a voice from the bowels of hell and adds real stage presence. In no Arch Enemy album to date has their been such an energetic feel to the music, you can really feel it on this live album - undoubtedly spurred on by the Japanese, who go insane for metal.
