Advantages: Some fun and cheesy tracks

Disadvantages: Don't like some of the covers

I have to admit that this album is one of my guilty pleasures, even though that will undoubtedly make me sound like a very uncool person. This is a two disk album and is packed full of boy bands that many people consider to be less than cool. You can find hits from the likes of Westlife, 5ive, East 17, McFly and even Blazin' Squad on here.

There are forty songs on this album, so I'm not going to do a detailed breakdown of each one or I will literally be here for hours! Instead, I'm going to pick out some of my favourite tracks.

*** Take That - Never Forget***
This is one of my favourite Take That songs. I would class it as mid-tempo and it strikes me as a great choice to open the album with.

*** N Sync- Girlfriend***
I'm not really a fan of N Sync in general as they were a bit too cheesy for me, but I do like this one. This track to me seems like an attempt to appeal to a slightly older market than the bubblegum pop that I usually associate with them. The harmonies on this sound pretty good.

*** McFly - Five Colours In Her Hair***
Again, this is a band that I'm not overly fond of in general but this track is quite lively and fun. This was their debut in the UK.

*** 911 - A Little Bit More***
I like the harmonies on this as they sound pretty good. This is quite slow but I wouldn't describe it as a ballad.

*** Let Loose - Crazy For You***
I can't remember this band doing anything other than this so I'm thinking that they might have been a one-hit wonder. I love this song though and have had it on my iPod for a couple of years now so I've glad that this was included on the album. This is another quite mid-tempo track.

*** East 17 - Stay Another Day ****
This is another track that I absolutely love. For some reason it only gets wheeled out at Christmas, even though there is nothing in the lyrics to make it a purely Christmas song. It is a lovely ballad, but the bells in the background do get on my nerves towards the end!

*** Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way****
This is quite a slow track and I like the vocals on it. Backstreet Boys are one of my favourite boy bands in general and they're not as cheesy or overly commerical as many of the boy bands on this album.

*** Boyz II Men - I'll Make Love To You***
This is a bit of a classic now and I love listening to this. It is a big ballad type of song with some nice vocals.

*** Triple 8 - Knockout***
I'd never heard of this band before I listened to this CD but I enjoy listening to this track. It is quite upbeat and very lively, quite good for having a bit of a dance about to!

******Overall*********
If you like your boy bands, you could do worse than listen to this album. Many of the songs are quite cheesy. Apart from some of the tracks that I've already mentioned, there is also Westlife's cover of Uptown Girl and V's cover of Can You Feel It - both of which to me are much inferior to the originals. For the most part, it is good fun if boy bands are one of your guilty pleasures too!

Summary: Check this out if you like boy bands

Peteacher - It's not on. The only Westlife song is the Uptown Girl cover.
