Everyone knows Barry White as the *huge* soul singer with the deepest voice imaginable, singing the beautiful love songs in only the way Barry can. He made his first recording at 16 with a band called ‘The Upfronts’ but decided that he wanted to be the A & R man instead of the singer – thankfully someone heard three demos of himself singing and insisted that he re-record and release them. I'd not come across Barry White until I'd heard his voice sampled on a dance track in the summer. If you can remember this track and liked it then you will probably like his album. Barry White songs are often featured on Ally McBeal so if you watch the tv programme you'll love him. Because it's his greatest hits it features the best of his collection. This is definitely an album for lovers. Barry White has such a sensational voice - one that is set to send shivers down your spine and he certainly knows how to impact on the listener - with fabulous songs of love and romance. You have tracks like 'I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More Babe' and 'What Am I Gonna Do With You' which just ooze with sentiments of love and intimacy. Barry White just has a distinctive quality to his voice combined with great lyrics and rhythm, this is just an album for romantics. If you want music for a special romantic night in then this is the album for you. Sometimes love songs tend to be slushy and overpowering but not ... Read the complete review

I got a free Barry White CD, for signing up with an auction site. It's not the type of music i normally listen too, but it's a fantastic album, i play it all the time when i'm on my computer. Because it's Barry White The Collection it features all of his best work. This CD features 16 in total. The tracks are You're the first, the last, my everything, Can't get enough of your love baby, It may be winter outside (but in my heart it's spring.) Plus many more. This CD is a must for any Barry White fans, or if you enjoy love songs. ... Read the complete review
