This is a must have for all Kylie fans as it contains all of her hits up to and including 2004. On the own side it does mean you have to suffer the truly awful Locomotive which was one of those Stock Aitkin and Waterman inspired cover versions from the early days however the more recent material is of a much higher quality and therefore a lot more enjoyable. At the moment you can get this for £5.99 on some sites which is excellent value for the thirty three tracks contained on this two disc album. Kylie musical style is very much pop centric and she has produced some good dance songs in her time, the stronger tracks in my opinion can be found on the ... Read the complete review

Kylie Minogue first became known the British public in November 1987 as tom boy Charlene in soap opera Neighbours. Its a soap that has changed its face many times with the entire cast being overturned several times. But it still doesn't compare with Kylie's many changes of face. Her first single I Should Be So Lucky topped the charts in 13 countries in February 1988, not only kick starting a 20 year music career, but an ever growing fondness for Kylie from the British public. Many thought her second single wouldn't even make the Top 10, but by the end of 1988, Kylie had already achieved a multi-million selling album (2.1 million copies in the UK alone), and 5 Top 3 ... I have a strange fondness for Kylie Minogue. It stems from the fact that I have grown up with Kylie. When I was at school, developing my individuality and music taste (or lack of it), Kylie was there. As I ventured into gay bars and clubs for the first time, the soundtrack was Kylie. As I left home and started to enjoy my independence, Kylie seemed to grow up with me. She's still going strong, proving critics wrong and somehow she has reinvented herself as a credible and much-loved icon. You only have to look at the outpouring of care in the popular press when, earlier this year, she announced that she was battling breast cancer. It would seem that everybody loves ... I am one of those people who dont really like or hate Kylie Minogue in any way, although right now i am verging on hate a little. Kylie Minogue is regarded as one of the most successful international female solo artists of the last decade. Various hit singles and albums over a number of years some big hit songs and some not so much have been finally put together in a official complimation to battle all those hundreds of unofficial ones. This is a 2CD set and calling it Ultimate Kylie is good I think listening to this start to finish means starting in order with all the bad songs i personally feel i think earlier stuff isn't as good as recent stuff, theres no ... Three albums in from Kylie's return to her pop roots on new label Parlophone, came an updated Greatest Hits collection. One thing I couldn't hope but notice about this collection as soon as I purchased it, was a few glaring omissions. 'Word Is Out' and 'Some Kind Of Bliss' were lead singles from album releases, and deserved an inclusion based on that alone. I would have also liked to see 'Finer Feelings', a #11 single included, and 'What Kind Of Fool', a #14 single. True to form, this has Kylie's first UK single 'I Should Be So Lucky' which stormed to #1, every single to make the UK top 10 (barring 'If You Were With Me Now') and each and ...
