You'd think that at my age I'd have learned my lesson. Never buy an album on the strength of one song and never by an album that's advertised on TV. OK, so maybe I'm being a bit harsh. I have bought albums on the strength of one song and been delighted but, to date, I've NEVER bought an album that was advertised on TV and found it to be consistently good in the way I imagined. My last mistake came when I told my better half that I really liked the sound of Ministry of Sound's "Ultimate Streetdance" album released in 2008. It was certainly not what I expected (although that's not to say it's bad). I've got a very eclectic taste when it comes to ... Read the complete review

Like the title says, for me, this CD was nowhere near as good as I expected it to be. From all the hype from the TV adverts I thought it would be pretty decent, but I have to say it's just average. There are SOME good songs, for example Mint Royale's "Singin in the rain", however considering there are 2 CD's I was expecting at least 10 or more good songs, wheras I'd say there are only maybe 4 or 5 on the whole 2 discs! Disc one consists of "Streetdance" songs, with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, The Ting Tings and H2O appearing. Disc 2 is the "breakdance" disc and I have to say I personally favour this disc. It has a few more ... Read the complete review
Products similar to Ultimate Streetdance
Werk 80 Vol.1 - Atrocity
Industrial style adapts well to the eighties electro pop originals.
Rather pointless.
Twilight - Bathory
Brilliant atmosphere and excellent fusion of metal with neofolk.
Too slow and atmospheric for old-school Bathory fans.
Dreamboat Annie - Heart
Great pieces of music, singing, lyrics, instrumentals
Might be a touch too heavy for some
The Hits: Parental Advisory - Kelis
R&B & Soul - Soul - 2008
Story: 10th Anniversary - Amorphis
Lots of good songs from four albums, displaying the band's variety and skill.
Nothing from 'Privilege of Evil,' and some of the choices are a bit strange.
Dreams Like Deserts - Aura Noir
Classic early black metal...
...that arrived ten years too late.
Da Derrty Versions: The Reinvention - Nelly
Original take on older material
A few track could have been used instead of what was
Watch The Sun - Headcharger
An excellent rock album which integrates brilliantly elements of hardcore and metal.
May be a little too heavy and hard hitting for some.
Chapters - Amorphis
A better collection than 'Story.'
Suffers from the same drawbacks as that earlier release.
Those Whose Past Is Immortal - Astrofaes
Sophisticated black metal incorporating the best elements from various off-shoots.
Really bad production.
