Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Absolutely terrible - awful lyrics, terrible vocals, boring ripped off music
Touted as the new king of pop - Paris based English born Dan Black seems to be the newest rage on the scene, the name is blasphemy though! This guy is no Elvis or Michael Jackson. Nearer to a Justin Timberlake/James Blunt hybrid with an incredibly camp twist, as I hate both of those artists equally it was no surprise that I disliked the music this guy made.
With songs like "U + Me = ", I didn't hold much hope, it didn't sing like I was in for some master songwriting. In truth, attacking your ears with an angle grinder is probably less painful than having to listen to all of this album - I thought that I would make it all the way through but had to give up by about track 7 (although I had heard "I Love Life" already unfortunately), listening to it was just pointless.
In fact the first track, single "Symphonies" is all you need to listen to confirm the album is not worth buying. The lyrics are pathetic, the drum loops are stolen from Umbrella (this is a theme throughout the album, just regurgated pop numbers of the last few years) but worst of all are the vocals which make you question why men seem so determine to sing like girls!
For football fans out there - the best comparison I can make is it sounds like Steve Wigley covering Robbie Williams but with lyrics not worth a penny. If this is the new king of pop, it's also the end of pop!
