... places. The lyrics are catchy and the vocals superb from the beginning. This is definitely a good song choice to open the album with. 9/10 **TRACK 2 - If I let you go** This track was the second on Westlife's first album. The backing track to this song is a bit more up beat than the last track and though it is still ultimately a ballad it has a more pop feeling to it. The lyrics again are very good and when listened to have a lovely meaning. The vocals are sublime and the harmonies work exceptionally well. 8/10 ...more

Seeing as this is my 300th review I thought that I would review the Greatest Hits album of a band that has always been a favourite of mine. I became a fan of Westlife when they were formed in 1998. Ten years on I would still class myself as a fan of theirs. The simple reason for this is because their music is so easy to listen to and I can't honestly say that there is one song that they have produced that I have hated. I will admit that there have been a couple that I'm not as fond of but there isn't any that I physically can't listen to. Now I know that the Westlife boys aren't exactly everyone's cup of tea and that their remakes of classic songs ...  Read the complete review

Well love them or hate them westlife have been around quite a few years now, a boy group from ireland who have maintained a career out of singing ballads and covers, This is a best of album and as it states vol 1 so I am sure there is more to come, orginally they had 5 members now down to four and still riding high on the music charts. Whether you like westlife or not their vocal talents cant be denied and I think that is what has sustained them for so long. This collection has all the hits from their biggest and most popular flying without wings front their first album to the later covers of against all odss with mariah carey and ...  Read the complete review

I been a huge fan of Westlife for the past four years. So far they've had 11 No1 hits and produced four fantastic albums. The greatest Hits brings all there songs so far onto one fantastic album including 'Flying Without Wings' and 'Uptown Girl'. Every song on this album is fantastic, if you just like there singles but wouldn?t buy their album then I would recommend you buying this one. It has every single that the band has released from their debut 'Swear it Again' to their most recent hit 'Unbreakable'. As well as that, there is also a bonus six songs included, one of which is set to be their twelfth (Fingers crossed) No1 single ...  Read the complete review

Energetic, expressive music Still relatively unknown

Probably the pinnacle of 'dance-punk', and the beginning of a new genre. It's a bit of an acquired taste - you have to love your synths, drums and basslines.
