**THE ARTIST/S**
N -Dubz are a hip hop/rnb group from London, UK. They have won awards and also had several UK top 40 hits. The trio went to school together and formed the group managed by Byron Contostavlos of Mungo Jerry who was Dino's father and Tula's uncle. The album is dedicated to him after he died in 2007. The release that made this award winning group shoot to stardom was 'You Better Not Waste My Time', this track has made the group very successful with fans of all different genres of music, I included! The members of N-Dubz are: Dino "Dappy" Contostavlos, Tula "Tulisa Contostavlos and Richard "Fazer" Rawson. So far they have only released one studio album:
Uncle B (2008)

**MY FAVOURITE TRACKS**
**3. Strong Again**
This is the latest single to be released from this album and is definitely my favourite so far. It starts off with a melody that I'm sure I've heard before but I can't for the life of me remember where! Anyway, the lyrics are good, the rapping is good and the vocals from Tulisa are great and make this song completely unique. The thing that had me hooked with this song is definitely the chorus because it is just so catchy. It is a real feel good track about how they never thought that they would be this big and about fame in general I think. My favourite lyrics from this track are: "See the thing about life is that it's just too short, leave the best behind and only then you'll find there's more to life than you first thought, 'cause I, I never, ever, ever, ever, thought that it would ever get better" I would rate this song 8/10.
**10. You Better Not Waste My Time**
This was the first that I'd ever heard of N-Dubz when this track first came out but there was something about this song that just made me love it, it was such an original sound, something that I hadn't heard for ages in the charts. I think that this song is just aimed at all the people that told N-Dubz that they would never make it and all the people that tried to bring them down, it's a really good track. My favourite lyrics from the track are: "Middle class daddy's girl, I think I need to get me one and you're one looks just right for me, isn't it funny how money can make a lot of people change? You think you're my friend blud I'm telling you, you ain't, you better not waste my time, I got better things on my mind, I need to leave jerks like you behind 'cause all they ever do is bring me down". I would rate this song 8/10.
**16. Papa (Can You Hear Me?)**
This song is a bit different to the other two that I chose, it is a touching tribute to Dino's father (also Tulisa's uncle). It is just about losing someone you love and wishing you'd said so much more before it was too late. It's a brilliant song also with a catchy chorus but in a different way to the other two tracks. My favourite lyrics from this track are: "All I've got is these pictures of ya, and your light blue crack down Nokia, things in my house still smell of ya, all I wanna say is: Papa if you can hear me, I regret every bad thing that I said, please forgive me if you hear me, never knew how much I loved ya till you was dead". I would rate this song 10/10.
**MY OVERALL OPINION**
Usually, I don't like hip hop at all, it's the last thing that I would choose to listen to but this album is different. N-Dubz have a completely unique sound which I love, all three members are very talented artists in my opinion. The lyrics are real and not just rubbish about gangs and guns like a lot of hip hop these days, they are about REAL experiences. I would definitely recommend this album to any fans of hip hop, rap or rnb. Overall, I would give this album 9/10.
Thanks for reading!
