ONE STEP CLOSER I LOVE THIS TOWN

Heavy Metal - 2007

Fantastic vocals, excellent songwriting and execution, loads of atmosphere, great lyrics Vocals might be offputting to some

Some reasonable thrash. Slower, softer, weaker.

80s rock brought into the 21st century None

A heavy, socially conscious effort from Dio and friends. Inferior copy of Black Sabbath's 'Dehumanizer.'

No lyrics to get stuck in your head. One for the serious listener.

Tales Of Creation - Candlemass
Successful experiments alongside the trusted familiar style. Messiah Marcolin's increasingly elaborate performance threatens to collapse the universe.

Progressive Rock - 2004

Nude - Camel
Progressive Rock - 1989

Nightfall - Candlemass
Everything you needed to know about doom metal. Elaborate vocal performance may deter some.

In Your Blood - Cadaveria
Some catchy guitars. Selling out for mainstream acceptance that will likely never arrive.

Go Off! - Cacophony
Second chance to hear Friedman and Becker fighting it out. Disappointingly commercial and unbalanced.

Epicus Doomicus Metallicus - Candlemass
Quality album with moving tracks None
