The rest of the album mixes in and feels the same as Silver Lining, being 11 tracks perfectly weighed to make an impact. This is the most fluid, clever, and controlled album of pop music made this year. Sounding like a mix of Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac and Paul McCartney (in his days with Wings), Rilo Kiley have crafted an album it's impossible to dislike. Jenny has released herself a fine solo album, and Blake's band "The Elected" also put out some new material, a reasonable album of mid-folk country stuff reminiscent of The Eagles (quick note: I don't like the Eagles.
