I first saw him support Jack Johnson in London in 2006 and I had already heard a few songs from him due to him being signed to Jack's Brushfire record label, although this was originally an independant release it is his first studio album as it was re-released a year later. I would consider him more folky than Jack Johnson but ultimately if your a fan of one in my opinion you will enjoy the other. I would discribe him as slightly more downbeat than Jack Johnson too but his voice is still charming and you'll find yourself humming along to the words in no time.
