A fresh new lively sound, from an interesting side project, Rival schools are a 4 piece who hail from existing hardcore bands (whose names i don't know/ cant remember, but werent that great anyway). 'United by fate' is a cracking punk/rock album, and i would argue that it is a lot better than the artists individual bands. The opening 'Travel by telephone' begins the album with furious druming, screeching guitars, and raspy vocals (the vocalist's singing reminds me a little of Gavin from Bush). An ...
Products similar to United By Fate - Rival Schools
Pandemonic Incantation +..... - Behemoth
Incorporates interesting death metal elements.
Production is disappointingly non-weak.
Instruments Of Torture - Brodequin
Intense.
Lacks variety.
Hordes Stood As One - Ancient Rites
Strong live performance, especially for fans of the 'Dim Carcosa' album.
Not very representative of the band's albums as a whole.
For Drug Crazed Grindfreaks Only! Live At Noctum Studios - Brutal Truth
Fairly decent grindcore E.P.
That's all there is to it.
Festival Of Death - Brodequin
Fast, I guess?
One of the worst production jobs in history.
Emperor's Return - Celtic Frost
Extreme metal in its infancy.
Repetitive and often lacking in originality.
Drawing Down The Moon - Beherit
Another entertaining early black metal album with classically awful production values.
Most songs sound pretty much the same.
Defending The Throne Of Evil - Carpathian Forest
More accessible.
Less convincing as a result.
Acts Of God - At War With Self
Intriguing progressive/psychedelic rock.
At times too difficult, and at others too dull.
