"Unleash the Dragon" is the debut album from the then-Dru Hill member, Sisqó, an R&B singer from Baltimore. It was released in 1999 and was his most successful album to date as it was Certified 5x Platinum, selling five times as well as the album which followed it. At the time Dru Hill was one of the leading R&B groups, in a time when male vocal groups were phasing out, so to see the lead of this group go out on his own was highly welcomed by the fans, because he was only going to succeed if he went at it alone.
