Having been a fan of Bryan Adams for ages I brought this CD whe it came out. I don't watch MTV and never saw the programme where he performed these songs but listening to the CD I really wish I had.

It is a great collection of his songs, every one of them enjoyable for different reasons, and as they have been performed live and "unplugged" on MTV they come across as totally different to th normal recordings of them that we hear on his other albums.

There are no new somgs on this album, simply new takes on old songs and it is really refreshing to hear some of them. Summer of 69 for instance is probably one of his best known songs and one he always has to throw out for the audience at gigs, but this version - although totally recogniseable as Summer of 69, is much more raw and with harmonies from his band mates it really adds something to it that I hadn't heard before.

I loved track 9, the compilation of If Ya Wanna Be Bad-Ya Gotta Be Good/Let's Make A Night To Remember. This is one that can be sung at the top of your voice in the car - in fact the whole album is a really good driving collection.

With the addition of new instruments as well, like the violin and pipes of some kind, these songs have been brought alive again with a new slant to them that is not only refreshing but also immensely enjoyable.
