Unplugged - Neil Young

The first time I bought a Neil Young album was about 15 years ago, before that, I hadn't heard of him. A friend brought his acoustic round one day and started picking away at a song I found very catchy and quite nice, he started to sing along to the song he played, after which he introduced me to it as "The Needle and the Damage Done" by Neil Young. The song is a tribute to Crazy Horse band member Danny Whitten, who Young sacked fro the band after being totally smashed on heroin, not being able to hold or play his guitar, Young gave him $50 and a ticket to California, the $50 was for Whitten to go to rehab, spending the money on a pure form of ...  Read the complete review
