Alex Cornish is an Edinburgh-based singer/songwriter and instrumentalist and Until the Traffic Stops is his debut album. Legend has it that he recorded this in his bedroom, not that you would glean that fact from this well-produced album. He begins with the title track in which his Chris Martinesque voice soars and you get the first inkling that there is some fantastic orchestration on this album. There's also a sense that Alex Cornish is a hard-working perfectionist.
