... guitar work, an occasional hard hitting power chord, and strong fretwork. For much of this album however the music of Korn is not particularly adventurous at all and the music just seems a little lifeless and half hearted. Tracks such as 'Make Believe' and 'Hating' are particularly poor from this release. These two tracks are especially terribly put together; the vocals sound completely out of tune and musically there is very little to take from these tracks here either. The music just doesn't work at all, whil...more

Premium Review Untouchables - Korn: You Can Look, But You Can't Touch (754 words)
by - written on 22/04/08 (Very useful, 59 readings)
Rating:

Released in 2002, 'Untouchables' is the fifth album from the Californian metal mob that is Korn. In the early days the bands music had always very much taken a nu-metal approach, in 1999 the music took a more alternative metal direction with the 'Issues' album however and this is a sound that was continued with this 'Untouchables' release. The album comprises of fourteen tracks and clocks in at just over the hour mark. It's not a particularly exciting album of music, much of 'Untouchables' is in fact quite poor and there is very little of interest to take from this release. The album begins with 'Here to Stay', a Grammy award winning single which in truth ...  Read the complete review

KoRn's Untouchables (909 words)

Rating:

I'm a late KoRn fan, but I still love thier songs. I will admit I have not heard all thier albums (but there are some exceptions with some of the album's songs) I listened to this CD, and fell in love with two songs that will always be some KoRn song classics for my playlist. I'm going to go through each the songs: 1. Here To Stay- 10/10 Beauitful start to thier album. It's an extremely downtuned heavy song that really shines the whole band's talents. It's probably my most favorite KoRn song I've heard so far. However, this song get's you going too soon. Because right after this song, things begin to go a bit down until "Bottled Up Inside." ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Untouchables - Korn: The Rebirth Of Nu-Metal (2162 words)
by - written on 30/07/02 (Very useful, 957 readings)
Rating:

Back in 1998 Korn the creators of the genre that is Nu-Metal brought us their third addition to what is the Korn albums. Infamous for their dark and heavy songs the album 'Follow The Leader' was much anticipated by fans. Unfortunately 'Follow The Leader' proved to be less heavy than Korn's previous achievements and packed full of accompanying artists. So in 1999 fans anticipated Korn's next addition to be a great hit but yet again just not quite as heavy. On top of this there were also fans that just didn't like the album 'Issues' at all. I myself am not one of those fans of course, as I have liked all of Korn's albums so far. ...  Read the complete review

As the people at Dooyoo rarely add new products until they are old, I thought i'd write this opinion here. P.S. I apologise for my last opinion (Streetfighter) not up to my new standard of one very useful after the other. I deserved the ratings it got, it was late and I am about to make it up....... Untouchables, don't let the name fool you, you can pick it up. The highly anticipated fifth album from Korn, it's been a long time coming. This latest album depicts a band who have developed their style and as their albums progress, so does the maturity of their music. The front cover is rather bizarre, the main kid with the bloody nose on the front ...  Read the complete review
