'Up All Night' is the triple platinum debut album from the Johnny Borrell fronted indie rock band 'Razorlight'. I actually went out and bought this album off of the strength of the single 'Golden Touch', it really impressed me right from the first time I heard it and still remains to be my favourite track from this album. The 'Up All Night' album contains thirteen tracks, it begins with 'Leave Me Alone', ends with 'Fall, Fall, Fall', and it must be said that most of the tracks here are mightily impressive. There are a few weak links here; it's not a perfect debut release but certainly a strong one. 'Leave Me Alone' certainly starts this album in style; it's ... Read the complete review

The London and Sweden-based Indie Rock band Razorlight released their debut album "Up All Night" in 2004, and it came as their breakthrough record too as they brought with it hits such as "Somewhere Else", "Stumble and Fall" and "Golden Touch" as Johnny Borrell led them and came with the distinctive sound of UK Indie music from around 2003-onwards. 1. "Leave Me Alone" Kicking this album off, you see that they beginning things in a typical way, in a style which you would tend to associate with their music, as they come with an up-tempo recording which has them bursting through with something ... Razorlight seem to have become one of those bands that people love to hate. Quite why this fate has befallen them is something of a mystery. Perhaps it's because they've become too mainstream - music that your mum can appreciate just isn't cool enough. Superficial, maybe, but also, to an extent, true. I think the main reason, however, that Britain has fallen out of love with one of the more talented acts of the current indie generation is simply that they aren't living up to expectation. Where did this expectation come from? Why is it that their second and third albums have been relatively poorly received? It is in no small part the fault of this, their superb ... Razorlight - Up All Night (2004) Producer: John Cornfield, Steve Lillywhite, Johnny Borrell Leave Me Alone Rock 'N' Roll Lies Vice Up All Night Which Way Is Out Rip It Up Don't Go Back to Dalston Golden Touch Stumble and Fall Get It and Go In the City To the Sea Fall, Fall, Fall Somewhere Else (bonus track) I just don't know about Razorlight. Of all the pitiful indie bands which surfaced in the first five years of the new millennium, Razorlight were one of the worst offenders. Johnny 'bigmouth' Borrell has always thought the sun to be shining out of his posterior, but on ... Read the complete review

The Last few years have been pretty decent for anyone into their Indie music. The number of decent albums and bands that have appeared over the last few years have given a great deal of hope that real music is still going strong. One of my favourite bands from last year are Razorlight and their debut album Up All Night. It was released in June and straight away became a regular feature in the car CD player. They seem to have quickly established themselves as a decent band with the singles doing well and the last couple of tours selling out incredibly quickly. Before Razorlight things could have been so much different for lead singer Johnny Borrell. He spent a ... Read the complete review
