Move over Mariah Carey! Vanessa has the best voice I've heard for a long time.

Her debut album the Power has just been released here in the UK and it's fantastic. The album shows of the diversity of Vanessa as an artist. I don't think theres any type of music this girl can't sing.

If you're looking for a pop free album then I'm afraid this won't be for you. However if you like a bit of pop but just not to the extreme of Britney or Billie then you'll love this. Its a mixture of pop, R&B, dance and Indie tunes. They each in their own way show what Vanessa can do. The album especially demonstrates Vanessa's vocal range. From the amazingly high "Pray for Love" to the beautifully low "Everytime I close my eyes".

The best songs would have to be "Shine" which Vanessa wrote when a close friend commited suicide and "Have a Look" which shows the other side of her voice.

It should also be mentioned that Vanessa writes the majority of her songs and does all the vocal arrangements herself!
