Victoria Beckham was a part of the worlds biggest girl group the SPICE GIRLS! In that she achieved 9 number one singles and 1 number two singles. 2 number one albums and 1 number 2 album. During that time there were five girls! Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chislom and Victoria Adams. Geri left and became a successful solo artist reaching number one, then followed Melanie Chislom again reaching number one. Melanie Brown got her number one and the Emma also got her number one. Now Victoria is hoping to do the same with her stunning debut album ‘Victoria Beckham’!
Track 01 – Not Such An Innocent Girl

The first single to be taken from this album and what a single! Totally different from anything she’d done before and the title just says it all. It’s an R ‘n’ B mixed with garage and pop feel. This tune is very catchy and up beat. So easy to listen to and the video for this song was amazing! Two Victoria’s in one video - um! This is where Victoria shows off her vocal range as she never really sung a lot with the Spice Girls, but now she’s showing a lot of talent! A wicked track and you’ll never get tired of listening to it! It went in at number 6 in the charts wicked!
“If you touch me I won’t break, don’t think of me that way, I’m not such an innocent girl, don’t wrap me up in cotton wool, up on a pedestal, I’m not such an innocent girl”.

Track 02 – A Mind Of Its Own

The second single that has been released off this album going into number 7 in the charts. I personally think it should have been a number one but you lot decide. It’s way better than ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’! I love the way she talks through the verses and sings perfectly through the chorus’s. This son
g shows off Victoria’s range brilliantly! With the pure pop feel and happy fast beat melody it was most certain that it was going to be single. Very bouncy and smiley song.
“My hearts got a mind of it’s own, won’t listen to a word I say, doesn’t it know that I get too, when it acts that way, cos’ when it breaks I break, I don’t know how much more of this I can take, doesn’t it know that I get too, when it acts that way”.

Track 03 – That Kind Of Girl

Slowing the album down this track has a very slushy feel and the lyrics are slushy too! It’s not as catchy as the last to but does have a good tune. Again easy to listen too and the tune does change in certain places where Victoria sings fast – sort of Destiny’s Child speed. “Don’t care bout the money or the car that you drive” Listen to it and you’ll know what I mean. Class song but I don’t think she’ll release it!
“Do you like watchin the sun come up, sipin champagne in a paper cup, laughing when your making love (oh baby), cos’ I’m that kind of girl”.

Track 04 – Like That

Now this track changes that album completely. Right into pure R ‘n’ B. Starts off wicked with the beats and Victoria’s voice just suits this sound down to a ‘t’! It a really edgy song and changes a lot – from the verse to the chorus. Very and I mean very catchy you’ll be singing this all day long. Love the tune and the overall song, hoping she releases it as a single! The lyrics are wicked too! Very aggressive – you go girl!

Track 05 – Girlfriend

Staying in the R ‘n’ B feel this track is very diverse. It changes melodies and sound all the way through from mid tempo to fast up beat tempo back to mid tempo etc. The chorus is catchy and the lyrics are good. This song really shows off Victoria’s voice and I recon she has a wicked voice, totally different from most female artists.
“Girlfriend let me give you somethin’, I know that you love him but you should have saw him last night, ain’t his girlfriend anymore than I am, I know you see him, but girl you really should have saw him last night”.

Track 06 – Midnight Fantasy

I love this tune!!! So full of life and it makes you jump around the room and dance. Such an interesting sound – not really to sure what it comes under, but all I know it should definitely be a single. Her voice is really good and it’s fast tempo keeps you interested in this song. Slowing down in the middle and then kicking back off for the end. A really good song this is probably my favourite track on the album!
“I’m gonna take you places that you’ve never been before, I come into your dreams, make you beg for more, I’ll hold on to your body, I’ll give you what you need, go deeper with me baby, I’m your midnight fantasy”.

Track 07 – I.O.U.

The first ballad of the album! I didn’t think for one second that it was going to be as good as this. It’s so calming and as she stated it’s for her husband saying she owes him. It shows off her voice very well. You can tell this would be a perfect Christmas number one and it’s going to be a wicked one to
do live! The lyrics are so so deep. She is a talented girl! One PERFECT ballad.
“And I never could repay that look that’s in your eyes, I could save all my kisses till the end of time, all my love in my life ‘til it’s through, I. O. U.

Track 08 – No Trix. No Games

A perfect way to pick the album up after an amazing ballad. A mid tempo song with a chilling sound. Again its an R ‘n’ B cross between a pop tune and a definite Victoria style sound. A good title which is about not lying to someone just to get them to go out with you. I can’t believe what a good singer she is!! The lyrics are quite raunchy he he!
“I know what buttons to push to turn a man on, doesn’t mean I’m gonna push ‘em with you that would be wrong, ganna strip away my make what you get is what you see, no trix, no games, just me”.

Track 09 – I Wish

Good track – easy to listen to. A mid tempo tune with a good catchy chorus. You’ll probably find this track a bit boring after the last couple but it does have a good sound and she does sing well. I like tunes like this that don’t stick in your mind but you can sing along to them easily when your listening to it.
“I wish I could right now, wish that I could show you how I’m feeling you, boy I try, I can’t hide how badly I want you tonight I’ve gotta fight it”.

Track 10 – Watcha Takin’ Bout

One hell of a wicked track. Pure R ‘n’ B really funky tune and great overall track. So deep in lyrics and a proper America feel. Victoria’s voice works amazingly with this track and I can see that this is going to be a single. Love this track and it’s full of life!
Wicked.

Track 11 – Unconditional Love
Slowing the album down just before it finishing. A good song and again a lovely ballad. The tune is totally different from the other ballad and I think it’s a very lovey doovey song. The kind of song you dance slow with your partner.
“When I see the bright lights in your eyes, feel like a bird that’s just learned to fly, from now until the end of time, I’m glad you came into my life, my gift sent from above, unconditional love”.

Track 12 – Every Part Of Me

What a way to end her debut album, with her little boy Brooklyn speaking in the beginning. The song as she said is dedicated to him and why not put him on there. As the title says he’s every part of her! This is a slow ballad which is very touchy feely and the words go deeper than deep. Lushy and relaxing. Very good tune and she holds the song well. Good way to end the album.
“Every little part of me, you’ll always be my baby, yes you will now, every little part of me, you’re every little part of me”.

Overall a good album throughout! NOT a one hit wonder like people said. She does have a good voice maybe not as good as some female artists out there but she has the talent. It’s funny because I thought out of all the Spice Girls that Emma would do the best but so far Geri has – but I think they’re all as good as each other! Hopefully Victoria will get a number one making them all have number ones as solo artis

I wasn’t going to by this album because I wasn’t sure weather I’d like her sort of music. But I’m glad I did coz the songs on her are top quality. I would still have to say though that out of all the Spice Solos Emma’s albums the best! Then Victoria’s!
