This album becomes increasingly tedious as it goes, merely thanks to the similarity between many of the songs, as the style becomes fairly old. Earlier songs like the bouncy 'Ahti' and the guitar-heavy 'Deathbringer from the Sky' make way for a trio of slower offerings in the form of 'One More Magic Potion,' 'Wanderer' and 'Raised by the Sword,' and the album never really recovers from this lull....more

Great pagan atmosphere. Poor production spoils effect of instruments.

Continues to evolve Viking metal in a perfect fusion with black metal. First song steals thunder from the others.

Highly inventive, a perfect balance between polka and black metal elements. Can seem ludicrous at first.

Bold and varied death metal epic. Too sprawling and changeable.

Creative and distinctive fusion of metal and symphony. Acted interludes are unnecessary and distracting.

Great concept The overall production and average songs.
