Vin Garbutt in General

Yes, I made that word up because it seems that ordinary words just don't do him justice. He puts so much into his singing and performance that he holds his listeners captivated totally. He has a wit as sharp as a samuri sword and humour to split your sides with laughter. He can deliver all this none stop for hours and the more his audience applaud, the more he responds. What an outstanding mixture; a comedian, singer and songwriter all in one. But is Vin a jack of all trades and master of none? I first heard Vin Garbutt a good few years ago when my Mum went out shopping with her friends for the day. Opportunities like this didn't come about too often and like a flash my Dad came in from the garden, put one of Vin's records on the player (one which my mother usually complained about), whacked the volume up, sat down and proceeded to laugh until he cried! Vin Garbutt is the sort of performer you absolutely love or hate. There's no in between. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly Vin has a very unique style of singing. It's raw, powerful and with a very strong North East accent. If you are not keen on listening to songs *not* sung in a pseudo US acent you will have difficulty understanding Vin. I can understand him - I come from the North of England anyway so it's no probs. He accompanies himself on guitar.
