The second section of the album (tracks six through nine) is a Radio 1 session from slightly earlier in the band's career, and the live performance makes for a satisfying listen, somewhere between studio polish and a raw demo. It sounds in places as if the source material wasn't even the original master tape, but the band still puts in the best performance it can, considering that none of th...more

This also inevitably means that much of it is far from the band's best work, as you'd expect from what is primarily a collection of B-sides, but for fans who lament the relatively small size of the Carcass discography, or those who thought the band lost its way towards the end, this is the perfect supplementary purchase that saves the trouble of ...  Read the complete review

Extreme thrash classic with unbeatable atmosphere. Still rooted in the thrash tradition, which may disappoint.

Some good old tunes... Some naff dated ones...

Eight amazing tracks, Excellent musicians and the best vocals in heavy metal, Great use of synthesisers to compliment tracks Some may dislike the more epic and melodic departure

Some beautiful, classically-influenced doom metal. Stoner rock prominence weakens the effect.

A lot of great Maiden tracks, Some tracks not previously released live, Amazing crowd response Many tracks have been released on previous live albumsBruce's vocals are clearly sufferingNot the band at their best

Much of Carcass' finest material, plus previously unheard Peel Sessions. The band's diverse styles aren't going to please all fans.

Mostly excellent death metal in the classic style. Really bad metalcore passages stand out like a severed thumb.

Bitchin' - Donnas
80s influenced and anthemic, girls are doing what they want, great for a sing a long few weak links, wouldn't have minded maintaining the escapism in regards to feelings, etc.

Between The Wars - Al Stewart
Great lyrics, really good music, smooth sound You should really concentrate on the lyrics, familiarity with the inter-war period helps
