Tasty - Kelis

Rating:
never heard of Kelis before, and so am assuming she is a new face among singers. I think her voice and style bears resemblance to Missy Elliott, who I think is a fantastic artist. I bought the 'Tasty' album by kelis on impulse, assuming the other songs would be as good as 'Milkshake'. They are nothing like it. ...

Rating:
dont need a sound system with a bass boost to have your whole house jumping to the beat of this album. As the title suggests, the album is diverse, and Kelis makes an excellently recieved effort to produce something that is on the whole fresh and new, mixing her velvety singing style with heavy bass lines and strong melodies and; even though on tracks 9 and 14 there is undoubtedly a strong influence from Lauryn Hill, if not an attempt to mirror the tracks 'every ghetto every city' and the title track of Lauryn's album; 'The miseducation of...', this is irrelevant as the album is staunchly individual and makes a strong impression on the listener. From ...

Eck.. when I first heard Kelis's song the "I hate you so much right now" I really liked it and thought that she had a future but after watching her live at Glastonbury, I have been fastly put off. It seems in fact she cannot sing and that the rest of her songs are pretty dreadful. Her video and album voice are very promising but it ...

Excellent vocals
Couple of boring ballads
The Resignation - Rx Bandits
Brilliant use of guitars, excellent vocals, and hugely powerful drum beats.
This hour of music just doesn't seem to last long enough.
Rise Or Die Trying
In small doses the music of Four Year Strong is quite enjoyable.
Hearing the same overly upbeat track eleven times over is my idea of hell.
Once More With Feeling: Singles 1996-2004 - Placebo
Get to see all the videos with hilarious commentary..
It has to end at some point!
Interlopers - Fall The Rise
The sound is sometimes quite interesting.
The music is messy, the bands members possess a severe lack of musical ability.
Hustlenomics - Yung Joc
When he's good, he's amazing
Block. Not consistant.
Homebase - DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Classic Songs, Great Album
1 Or 2 More Tracks

An excellent album blending Ska and Pop Punk to perfection.
Better RX Bandits albums have been released than this.

Not enough ballads
