There are those who spit lyrics, and there are those who leave dancefloors soaked in waves of phlegm. Possessing an energy of blood-vessel-bursting proportions, MOP continue to lace their lyrics with enough venomous discharge to send shockwaves through even the most sturdy. Subtlety has never been their style, anthemic shrieking has, and Warriorz sees Billy Danze and Lil Fame hollering from the rooftops in trademark fashion. Apparently Warriorz is M.O.P.’s fourth album, however I don’t think I’m alone when I say that before this album and the tracks “Cold as Ice” and “Ante Up” I had never even heard of M.O.P. Perhaps they struggled to make it big in the U.K. previously, or perhaps they didn’t try to. Anyway, they have certainly arrived now, already with two top hits “Cold as Ice” and “Ante Up Remix” doing well in the UK, and both of those tracks are on the Warriorz album.
