Abba's second album was named after their Eurovision winning track & originally featured 12 tracks by the group. 01) Waterloo. Triumped at Eurovision in 1974 & went to number one in the UK & a number of other countries. This is without doubt the best track on the album, but better singles were to come from the group. 02) Sitting In The Palmtree An odd little track which sees Bjorn take on lead vocals. It's inoffensive enough but not something you'll probably be wanting to hear over & over again. 03) King Kong Song Another oddity that sees Bjorn takes lead vocals for some of the time. This is by far the worst of Abba's albums, but they can be forgiven as it was an early one. Apart from the title track "Waterloo", the rest of it really isn't very good at all. I had to have it in my collection as I'm a real Abba fan, but it definitely isn't one of their better ones. A couple of tracks spring to mind - "King Kong Song " and "My Mama Said" - however many times I listen to them I can't work out what they're about! So buy this album if you're a die hard fan who needs to complete their collection, otherwise give it a wide berth! ... Read the complete review
