I don t know, maybe fans who did not like Rihanna will like her now, but if I am honest, I much prefer the old R Rihanna One thing I found with this album is that a lot of the songs have the potential of been fantastic songs but they end up not going anywhere which is quite annoying. I wouldn t say that the album has as many stand out songs like her Good Girl Gone Bad or Rated R album. There are no wow songs such as Umbrella or Russian Roulette . Back before R Rihanna brought a summer of rain with the worldwide smash Umbrella and became even bigger with the massive Good Girl Gone Bad album which spawned no less than 8 hit singles, she had to work hard to sell records past the odd big hit here and there and listening to her 2006 sophomore effort A Girl Like Me , it s not really that difficult to see why.
