Fantastic lead single from one of the worlds biggest stars right now!

'We Found Love' is the lead single from Rihanna's sixth studio album 'Talk That Talk' which I have previously reviewed. The single was released worldwide September 2011 and has since sold 5.2 million copies worldwide making it one of the best selling singles of all time.

The song was written and produced by Calvin Harris who has worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue on her album 'X' and most recently Cheryl Cole for her comeback single 'Call My Name'.

The song itself is a fresh sounding electro-house dance-pop song with elements of eurodisco, trance and techno vibe. The beats to the song do remind me of the lead single 'Only Girl (In The World)' to her fifth studio album 'Loud' for their similarities. Despite that, the music sounds fresh and fun which would go down a treat with any pop/dance music fan..

Rihanna's vocals are amazing in this song with her begining the song sounding relaxed as she starts singing the lead verse "Yellow diamonds in the light, and we're standing side by side". Some people have compared her vocals to the song she recorded with Nicki Minaj 'Fly'.

Overall, I think this is a brilliant song. However, it is very repetitive and catchy which could annoy some listeners but not me. I can understand why this song became so successful and would like to praise Rihanna and Calvin Harris for her vocals and for his amazing song writing and producing. Love it!
