Born Vincent Damon Furnier on 4th Feb 1948 in Detroit, Michigan USA, Alice Cooper has thrilled audiences worldwide since the mid 1960's. His roots lie in rock music but changes his sound and style regularly to keep surprising us. Well known for his theatrical live shows, over the years his props have included gallows, guillotines, electric chairs and an assortment of ghoulish henchman all vying for his soul. Welcome To My Nightmare was released in 1975 and the sound is very much of that era, raw and uncooked but well balanced and sprinkled with enough effects when necessary. Welcome to My Nightmare was Alice Cooper's first solo album without the original members of the band. Released in 1975, it features Wagner on guitar whilst John Prakash and Tony Levin play bass on different tracks as do Pentti Glan and Johnny Badanjek on drums. Wake Up And Smell The Carcass - Carcass
Comprehensive collection of rare material.
Peel Sessions are missing, and most of the songs were B-sides for a reason.
The Serpent's Gold - Cathedral
Heavy Metal - 2004
The Ethereal Mirror - Cathedral
Progressive touches hint at more interesting directions.
Ineffective mainstream touches weaken the album as a whole.
The Best Of - Diamond Head
Great NWOBHM band with some wonderful tracks up their collective sleeve
Some weak points (but only just)
Swansong - Carcass
Easily approachable death-'n'-roll.
Will likely disappoint fans of the band's previous styles; their weakest album overall.
Solar Lovers - Celestial Season
Some beautiful, classically-influenced doom metal.
Stoner rock prominence weakens the effect.
In Memoriam - Cathedral
Long-awaited official release of 'Live in Holland '91.'
Unnecessary re-release with an astonishing amount of overlap.
Garden Of Unearthly Delights - Cathedral
Experimental and consistent.
Over-reaches at times, particularly with the twenty-six minute semi-title track.
Choice Cuts - Carcass
lots of material, varied tracklisting, well put-together, some fantastic tracks
Not all fans will appreciate the full spectrum of the band's material
A Monument To The Death Of An Idea - Enochian Theory
An impressive mix of progressive rock and metal superbly executed.
Five tracks comprising of thirty minutes of music will not appeal to all.
