There's a bit of electronic experimental work in there too and whilst it tries to sound scary like the beginning of a horror film, it's like walking in the graveyard when it's busy in the day - really not scary at all. In some ways the electronic elements remind me of Mike Patton's most recent work, which I too see as a load of utter rubbish. My best advice to you on this one is not to buy it as I doubt you'll get enjoyment from it o...more

What You Don't Know is Frontier is Asva's second album and was released this year. Asva is the brainchild of former Burning Witch member Stuart Dalhqvist and uses up musicians from various bands including Mr.Bungle, another band which I didn't like that much. This is pretentious rubbish going nowhere with an album which basically consists of a doom metal intro and it fails to explode, in fact it's really disappointing. Fun beats, differnt to anything else out there will offend some people

Back on form, Classic tracks in front of a 250,000-strong crowd, Also available on DVD Three guitarists is a little crowded sometimesDoesn't represent some of the best materialLong song groupings get tedious

Def Leppard's coming of age album, pefectly polished Probably not to be topped again by the band.

More experimental than a lot of other bands of the same genre Lyrics a bit dreamy

Heavy Metal - 2000

Great sound, great songs, great band A little softer than usual - could they be doing a Bon Jovi?!

Past Times With Good Company - Blackmore's Night
More diverse than the studio albums, with less filler. Songs extended for far too long, and Deep Purple fans perhaps leave even more annoyed than before.

Opel - Syd Barrett
Probably the most comprehensive collection of rare material. Still a lot of overlap in the form of alternate takes, which tend to be inferior.

The Physics Of Fire - Becoming the Archetype
Doesn't descend into screaming metalcore. Progressive elements are now pretty dull, and most songs sound exactly the same.

Hip Hop Is Dead - 50 Cent
Hip-Hop & Rap - East Coast - 2007

SAME JEANS STREET LIGHTS

Brainbox - Brainbox

Barrett - Syd Barrett
More stereotypical Barrett, stabilised by other musicians. Less individual as a result.

Il Vuoto - Franco Battiao
Classical elements incorporated nicely. Contrasting pop and electro elements in certain songs.
