WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM, THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M NOT is the title of British indie rock band the ARCTIC MONKEYS.
The album contains 13 tracks.

The opening track THE VIEW FROM THE AFTERNOON is an energetic number full of vigour and a moody attitude hat is expressed in the vocals and at the chorus.

My favourite song on the album is I BET YOU LOOK GOOD ON THE DANCEFLOOR. The song is high octane with wonderful instrumental work and fast paced vocals with lyrics referencing to the book 1984.

FAKE TALES OF SAN FRANCISCO is a slightly mellower track with some smooth guitar work and even smoother vocals that are on top form as are the melodies.

DANCING SHOES is a fast paced song sung with great attitude and lyrics that are fun with a catchy chorus.

YOU PROBABLY COULDN'T SEE FOR THE LIGHTS BUT YOU WERE LOOKING STRAIGHT AT ME is a real energetic song sung with lots of vigour and the lyrics tell a good story.

STILL TAKE YOU HOME has a corking intro that brings in high intensity vocals that are bettered by the wonderful instrumental work that excels at the finale.

RIOT VAN is an aggressive song with loud vocals and louder guitar and drum work that needs to be turned up loud.

RED LIGHT INDICATES DOORS ARE SECURED is a powerful tune with a feel good factor especially at the chorus with meaningful lyrics.

MARDY BUM has strange lyrics though a great sense of fun particularly at the catchy chorus which creates a positive vibe.

PERHAPS VAMPIRES IS A BIT STRONG BUT is a song that starts of slow, though gets better towards the chorus which is fun with impressie lyrics and smooth melodies.

WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN is a wonderful song which starts of slow, but when it reaches the chorus the guitar work brings the song to life with a fast paced feel an superb energy.

FROM THE RITZ TO THE RUBBLE features some lyrics that are haunting and chilling vocals aided by sublime instrumental work.

The last song on the album is A CERTAIN ROMANCE which showcases the band's talents of strong vocals, great lyrics, excellent instrumental work and wonderful melodies.

Overall, this is a superb album. The ARCTIC MONKEYS are lyrically superb with songs that tell fantastic stories. Vocally the band are on top form while the guitar and drum work are excellent. The melodies are often quick paced though the slower songs are still good.

Avaliable from AMAZON at £4.98 this is a great album!
