Hold Me In Your Arms - Rick Astley

Premium Review Being Held By Rick Astley...Mmmm (365 words)
by benlepensive - written on 28/08/09 (Very useful, 13 readings)
Rating:

In his day Rick Astley was a bit of a catch. Younger audiences swooned over his rich velvet tones while older ladies just wanted to take him home and lock him away for rainy days. This is Rick s second album and has a host of treats for fans of eighties pop music. It opens with She Wants To Dance With Me which is a powerful and at times extravagent pop number with commanding vocals from Rick. Greatest Hits - Rick Astley

Premium Review Rick Astley? Phroar! (569 words)
by benlepensive - written on 25/08/09 (Very useful, 31 readings)
Rating:

Yum! Rick with long hair. Actually, I think I preferred him with his nice auburn quiff. Note I said auburn, not ginger. Rick was at the height of fame in the late nineties, when a gap appeared in the music market for a slightly short looking public schoolboy type with ill fitting blazers and terrible dance moves. Rick fell into the hands of Stock Aitken and Waterman, who effortlessly guided his career for a few years before Rick fell out of favour and out of the charts. This is is best of, so let s remind ourselves what he had to offer. Never Gonna Give You Up is three minutes of pop indulgence as he laments of his loyalty for some lucky lass. Rick s vocals are rich ...
