WHITE LILIES ISLAND is the title of Australian pop star NATALIE IMBRUGLIA's album.
The album features 12 tracks which I will review.

The opening song THAT DAY is a mellow starter with beautiful harmonies rising towards the chorus with the melodies flowing alongside the gentle lyrics.

BEAUTY ON THE FIRE starts slowly but builds towards the chorus which is more aggresive and contains great energy.

SATELLITE has a corking intro which gets better when the vocals come in aided superbly by the instrumental support which is on top form particularly at the chorus.

DO YOU LOVE is bordering on cheesy lyrics though the smoothness of the vocals and the soothing melodies appease the tackiness.

WRONG IMPRESSION is sung full of vigour with the instrumental work on fire with a cracking finale that creates an uplifting effect.

GOODBYE is sung with so much emotion that it warrants from the heartfelt lyrics that are heartwrenching at the chorus and has a beautiful vibe.

EVERYTHING GOES gets better the more times you hear it as it relaxes you while listening due to it's soulful nature.

My favourite song on the album is HURRICANE. This is a fast paced energetic number with the vocals on good form as well as t eh instruments that add an extra edge to procedings.

SUNLIGHT has a catchy chorus with a positive vibe that gels with the guitar work.

TALK IN TONGUES contains lyrics that tell a wonderful story with a bouncy rhythm that creates energy.

BUTTERFLIES is a chilled out song which comes to life when the instruments kick in providing a mellow chorus and some rich melodies that enhance the finale.

The last song on the album is COME SEPTEMBER that highlights Imbruglia's great range of harmonies with some lovely lyrics and melodies that glide along.

Overall, this is a peaceful album. Most of the tracks have a mellow feel mainly due to Imbruglia's soothing vocals. The instrumental support is fantastic while the lyrics are often heartfelt bringing genuine emotion. The smoothness of the melodies and rhythms are tremendous.
