Advantages: , You can use the non-printed side of the CD as a mirror.
Disadvantages: , Not exactly enthralling.
As a musician, there aren't many who can top his superb guitar pickin'. Even as a singer you can't say he doesn't cut the mustard. The problem I have with Brad is that in striving to maintain his 'traditional country' roots he's simply boring (even George Strait has more life in him!); wasting his awesome talent on songs that have little sparkle and offer nothing to capture the imagination.
Ok, Ok, Ok... so there are one or two tracks that are listenable (if only just) - "We Danced" and perhaps the title track "Who Needs Pictures" offer the wary listener some hope if you fancy a slow one at some romance recalling moment in your life, but aside from that I'm afraid there isn't much else. Which is disappointing. For a man who has an incredible reputation despite only being on the secene a relatively short time, you're left feeling somewhat short-changed by this CD.
Come on Brad! Pull the finger out and enjoy the music!
Oh, and if you're hoping for better in the follow-up CD - "Brad Paisley: Part Two" - sorry, you'll be let down once again!
