I've always been a bit of a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and although it's spiralled into a bit of a disaster with worse than ever entries from the UK (the embarassingly camp and dire performance of 2007 in particular made me nearly stop flying altogether!) not to mention the amount of people voting for their own country from abroad which has more or less sealed victory in recent years, with the exception of Finland who resorted to the old "when in doubt dress up as a monster approach". Two beacons of light amongst a plethora of torches running low on battery are 2004's Ukrainian Winner - Ruslana and 2005's no where to be seen at the finish ... Read the complete review
