As expected, it's rather weird to hear these songs being played ... more ... outside of the Christmas period (August to December - ha ha, do you see what I did there? But seriously, it's at least October), and the fact that Blackmore's Night really bring nothing at all to these well-known songs, available in countless forms at probably a fraction of the cost, is the reason for my unimpressed rating. That's right, another folk band has released a Christmas album. Following the same style as their original studio works, this consists mostly of light, melodic and unbearably bland duets between Ritchie Blackmore's acoustic guitar and Candice Night's soft singing, with occasional electric sections pumping in a little more energy, though essentially this is only in the opening bars of 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing,' performed in an electric solo. It's quite fun, but there's no point leaving the album playing after that. Why cover 'Streets of London?' It's still adequate for Jovi's fans Dissapointed content. You'll find out in my review Most of the band's best material, demonstrating the diversity of their career.
