Sonata Arctica - Winterhearts Guild This is a great album by the brilliant Sonata Arctica. The cover depicts a dungeons and dragons type scene of four hero and the booklet contains all the lyrics and the pictures inside depict the band members as characters from the dungeons and dragons realm. There is also the quote "i can change one note and make you cry..." behind the CD The CD in its self contains some of my favorite tracks including "Broken", "Victoria's secret" and "The Cage" The first track is "abandoned, pleased, Brainwashed, exploited". Sonata Arctica- Winterheart's guild I don't particularly like power metal that much; I occassionally listen to a few bands of the power metal genre as a fleeting background music but never have I invested much time in a band like this. Why is this? I think Sonata Arctica has a very unique take on power metal spectrum, with their background coming from Finland. One can imagine that coming from the wintry flat fields of Finland has inspired this spellbinding captivating of an album. Even with the amount of cheesiness in their lyrics and keyboard approaches and catchy verses, it is still a very entertaining band that draws me to listen to them time after time. ...
