With The Beatles is the second album from the Best Band in the World Ever (Fact). Their first effort, Please Please Me was brilliant in comparison with anything else released at the time but this album, iconic sleeve and all, was something else entirely as far as quality and diversity are concerned. I grew up with this album in the house and it's the one I hold dear almost more than the other, more revered Beatles albums. I have a clear memory of my Mum teaching me the names of the four individuals on the cover when I was very young....and only being able to remember Ringo, the one with the funny name at the bottom! With the Beatles - The Beatles What this album does for me... I am a life long, second generation Beatles fan. I know that there are some people out there who cannot stand the Beatles; for me I grew up listening to them. I listen to this album retrospectively, I can't judge it as though I have heard it before their 1964 'Beatlemania'. I certainly do not want to offend 1st generation Beatles fans, those of you who were alive with my interpretation of this album. So please take my view as it is meant!
