Advantages: Buzzy, catching, atmospheric

Disadvantages: some tracks aren't such a high quality

This very strong album is even better than their debut. 'Pure Morning', the opener, is a really cool buzzing song and it pretty much stands out on the album. There are a few loud songs like 'Brick Shithouse' which are really impressive and charged, as a sort of electric feel rides throughout the album. The title track is especially moving. The songs really stick in your head, but not in an annoying RObbie-Williams-in-your-head-singing-that-bloody-& #39;Millenium'-tripe way. Brian Molko's singing is really nasal in his American drawl. He sounds really annoyed most of the time. There aren't any bad tracks at all, just a couple of less ear-cataching ones (is that an expression? Of not, why not?) and I doubt you'll regret buying it. Unless you hate Placebo, of course.
