This is the second album release from the new girl group The Saturdays. I am a proud owner of their first album 'Chasing Lights' and equally love their new album 'Wordshaker'. Established in 2008 the girls have few acts to live up to (mainly the Sugababes & Girls Aloud) however they are holding their own in the pop world. The album is groovy, addictive and will have you dancing in your seats. Even though I loved their first album this new one is a much needed improvement and you can tell the girls are moving in the right direction. The album has a good mixture of upbeat tracks and amazing ballads. My favorite tracks have to be 'Forever is over', the edgy 'one shot' ... Read the complete review

This is the follow-up to Chasing Lights, which has been well-played on my iPod. On this album, it seems that the girls are trying to branch out a bit more with the lead single being a rockier effort but it is still predominantly a pop album and this track is a bit of a case of the odd one out. ***Forever Is Over*** - The album's lead single features a rockier side than we are used to hearing from The Saturdays. While it's good to have a track like this on the album to show different styles, I don't think that this was a great choice as the first single release as they are poppier tracks that seem to have been better received by the fans. Wordshaker is the second album from girl band The Saturdays, following up their debut album Chasing Lights. I first saw the bad supporting Girls Aloud at Warwick Castle & as a result bought their debut album, which I was very impressed with it as it contained loads of feel good catchy pop tunes that you couldn't help but sing along too. So does this second effort continue in the same vein or is it a big let down? Well you can definelty tell that the band have matured since recording their first record & this is reflected in the sound of this CD.
