An overdue return to form for Bob Dylan happened with this album's predecessor 'Good As I Been To You', & this continues in a very similar vein. The record is steeped in folk tradition & is another set of folk standards, albeit with slightly darker tones this time around. While not a commercial success upon it's release, it is one of his better efforts of recent times, & takes you on a tour of folk history. It may not have the dashing bravado & originality of his early material, but contained within is a warmth rarely found in a latter period Dylan album, the liveliness of the delivery always keeping you engaged.
