Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot saw a strange period for Wilco, on finishing this album their label refused to release it and decided to stream it free from their website. What makes this so surprising is that it's such a fantastic album and was pre-Radiohead's free music stunt. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart opens the album in befitting fashion. Drums clatter and cascade whilst keys hum for the first minute before Jeff begins to sing sweet poetry over an apparet mess of sound. A lovely dischordal piano solo is a highlight.
