Advantages: Has lots of different emotions involved in this album and styles of music and its a Double CD.

Disadvantages: None at all.

I had seen the odd video from The Beat on VH1 and also had seen other style of band like The Specials but it was not until when on the documentary series on VH1 Bands Reunited did I really get interested in the band as it was great to see where they had come from how there music had come about what happened to the band after they went their seperate ways and how the VH1 presenter tried so very hard to track down and bring back together all original members of The Beat.

He was so close but the odd band member said what was in the past stayed in the past.But the music they created when they were in the height of their fame some of it was ska influenced and some more of a reggae or pop type of feel even though none of the band would admit to this.

The songs that really stand out for me on this Double Album containing 37 tracks has to be a classic cover version of Tears Of A Clown, The catchy Hands Of Shes Mine, The triumphant Mirror In
The Bathroom and the ballady soulful Too Nice To Talk To.

The band were more famous in the 1980`s but there influence and there music seems to live on even now.If you have never listened to a ska band or do not have an album by The Beat then I think you should buy it by the end of it you will have enjoyed this musical pleasure.
