... rather good. At 13 tracks it has a good value for money with the added bonus of a 17 minute interview with US talk show host, Jay Leno which isn't all that revealing as I'm sure everyone has heard it all before, but it does produce a few nice snippets. The first 6 tracks are taken form 'Alive!' while the second 6 are taken from 'Alive! II, but the real beauty of 'YWTB,YGTB!' is the inclusion of 4 previously unreleased tracks not available on the original 2 record sets. Quite why they were ...more

KISS live - the ultimate in theatrical and musical rock! 'You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best' was released to coincide with the initial 'Alive/Worldwide' Reunion tour in 1996. essentially, this is an amalgamation of the first two live cuts produced by the band, namely 1975's 'Alive!' and 1978's 'Alive! II'. While this may not sound too tempting to the hardcore KISS fan (and there are a few of us!), it is actually a nice, compact live edition which really is rather good. At 13 tracks it has a good value for money with the added bonus of a 17 minute interview with US talk show host, Jay Leno which isn't all ...  Read the complete review

Here we go again you think. Another compilation album! We've had enough of these already! Look closely at the track listing though and you'll find that this isn't just a hybrid of Alive! and AliveII - oh no - what we have in this release is some tracks that mustn't have made the grade at the time of the latter two albums' releases. Live versions of tracks from 'Dressed to Kill' and 'Rock and Roll Over' such as 'Take Me' are here and they are much better than some of the material on the 'official' live albums. This was the endearing quality of live bootlegs - to get version of track you would not otherwise ...  Read the complete review

The Alternative - IAMX
There are a couple of remotely interesting moments. Most of the album is despicably dull.

The Beauty Of Contrast - Sinew
The album is packed full of atmosphere, the music is action packed from start to finish. Some of the tracks are quite long, this could put some people off listening.

The Beyond - Cult Of Luna
Goth - 2003

The Big Dirty - Every Time I Die
Great riffs, great vocals/lyrics, great songs Not to every person's tastes

The Early Years - Crematory
Death Metal - 1999

The Execution Of All Things - Rilo Kiley
Rilo Kiley's finest hour Some of the songs, especially those sung by Sennett, are hard to get into

The Firstborn Is Dead - Nick Cave
TAKE ME NOW NICK! Excellent lyrics, wonderful production, Bad Seeds' backing is superb The style of song writing won't appeal to everyone

The Futureheads - Futureheads
A solid debut of catchy tracks Not been replicated since

The Godfather II - Soundtrack
The most varied use of Godfather themes in a nice colourful package Sound quality still needs work and a few source songs should be excised.

Terra - Cronian
Side helping for fans of modern Borknagar, with good vocals and guitar. Less impressive than the primary band.
