You Will Land With A Thud - The Tom Fun Orchestra

You Will Land With A Thud is the debut album of Canadian band The Tom Fun Orchestra, their brand of acoustic folk jazz is pretty enjoyable with a mixture of guitars, a banjo and a violin making sure that the music has plenty of different sounds. Lyrically it's pretty good, often with shanty or folk origins. The band from Cape Breton Island (somewhere near Halifax) are not without their faults though, the curly haired lead vocalist has the most ridiculous hairstyle ever- like a mop is sprouting out of his head but has been chewed by rats and the female vocalist who comes in occasionally, can't seem to sing in tune and just belts out something ...  Read the complete review
