The Ohio Funk band Zapp brought their second album in 1982, "Zapp II", which had them follow on from a Parliament-Funkadelic-inspired debut which featured the talent of the likes of Bootsy Collins alongside the Troutman Brothers (Roger, Larry, Tony, Terry and Lester) 1. "Dance Floor" To get this, their second album, underway, you have them beginning things in the way that they appeared to before as you have them on a slapping groove which reminds me of what they came with on "More Bounce To The Ounce". In 1980 the Ohio-based Funk band Zapp released their self-entitled debut album. Taking much of their influence from the work of P-Funk artists of the late seventies, brothers: Tony, Jerry, Lester, Larry and Roger Troutman (the latter two of whom died violently in 1999), made music which went on to become a staple part of Hip Hop (which developed as they did around this time).The stand-out feature of the group is the fact that the then lead vocalist, upon seeing it demonstrated by Stevie Wonder, plays the voice-modifying device, The Talk Box, in almost all of their tracks. 1.
