The lyrics are comical but the songs aren't particularly good. There are two exceptions ... more ... which I find to be both fairly entertaining and catchy but would probably struggle to get into the majority of the band's other albums.
These tracks are the catchy new wave/rock n roll sounding "I like Girls" and "Remarkably Insincere", it seems that the whole album apart from that is one big joke, saying that it's not as bad as half of the rubbish around today but this is definitely The Coop's worst album.

Zipper Catches Skin is a quality name for an album but unfortunately this is about the best thing the album has going for it. This album was released in 1982 and is the first of two albums that Alice Cooper can't ever recall recording to due to heavy alcohol abuse at the time. Dick Wagner returns on guitars but has little to do as the band continue with a softer sound far from the hard rock roots of the band. The lyrics are comical but the songs aren't particularly good.
