Antony+Jones Hammersmith Apollo: ... disgraceful staff. Alice Cooper Sunday 6th December 2009 I had to leave the auditorium after 30 mins as the crush at the front was getting too much (and the personnel refused to provide water). As I stepped outside for some fresh air, a bulshy member of staff declared I couldn t go back in! Having invested over £150 on the night I was devastated. My girlfriend came outside to see where I was and then she t...

ben-lloyd Spandau Ballet Reformation Tour
... = What? = ======== The Reformation Tour is the first live appearances of Spandau Ballet since their acrimonious split in 1989 which ended with half the band suing the others over song-writing royalties. Although three members attempted to tour together in the 1990 s, the public lost their hunger for the new romantics and each went their own seperate ways. The Reformation Tour is the first time all five original members of Spandau Ballet have performed together since, which is all the more impressive after lead singer Tony Hadley famously claimed that they would only reform after Hell had frozen over. ========= = The Band = ========= Hailing from North Londo...

kevin121 Soweto Gospel Choir
... much as people like to mock my part of London, it does have some good points, and one of the diamonds in the rough is The Fairfield Halls. An eclectic mix of artistes have passed through the corridors of this Concert Hall since it opened in 1962, ranging from Robert Cray to Mott the Hoople. A quick check of their website tells me that both The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Curtis Stigers are also due to perform here in the near future. Okay, so it s not exactly the O2 arena, or even the Brixton Academy, but it s not bad. It was here that I came to see The Soweto Gospel Choir recently. My friend had been more keen than I to attend, but I was interested enough to...

jamesoc99 Sonisphere Festival
... there was ever a festival that left all its fans absolutely awestruck this was it. The Sonisphere festival was an unbelievable weekend of constant entertainment whether it was from the great bands that played, the karaoke or the silent disco. The performances of all the bands at the festival was fantastic and the atmosphere created both by the performers and the all fans who were always up for a laugh was electric. If you were lucky enough to have gone you ll know what it was like... a constant buzz and a huge thrill but if you didn t go last year my one recommendation for your 2010 is to hit this festival above all others. All the staff are great and even the police o...
