bilbob20 Kylie X2008 Tour
... Minogue finally hit our shores with the UK leg of her current X tour. Armed with a surprisingly apathetic response to her current tenth album X, and another array of dazzling outfits, Kylie can barely go wrong as far as her live audience are concerned. Setlists have been altered on a nightly basis as Kylie trekked across the boards of Europe, which is hardly a sign of confidence. To the contrary, X is as polished and professional as any concert could be. Opening with current album track Speakerphone, Kylie was ushered from the centre of a magnificent set of giant screens aboard a mid-air platform which played host to the tiny Australian and a web of electric lig...

... I have to say there door staff don t do a great job, I was 16 when I got in for the first time. Never been checked for I.D there once! But, i m not complaining! First gig I saw there was the Fratellis, paid £5 a ticket, amazing place! I thought it would be packed, but it was so quiet for such a big band. Scala has a capacity for 1,145 people but there must have only been maximum of 400 there that night. The atmosphere was great, and had a really enjoyable time. I love the layout of this place aswell, it s like a little den! It s spread out over 4 floors and has 3 bars, 2 dance floors and a stage. The stage itself isn t big, but there s nothing seperating the audi...

... of the points have been covered already such as guidelines for buying tickets and whereabouts this is situated. But I just wanted to add my piece!! I went to see the Hives there a few months ago, and although I regularly attend gigs all over London this was my first time at Brixton Academy. Firstly, the door staff were quite rude(when going in), of course they had a job to do but they were just frankly rude to us. When we were in there it was nice at the start, the atmosphere was chilled out and the support acts played and I got a chance to meet some really cool people. My friends wandered off and came and went as we pleased for the first hour or so. Toilets are real...
